Architectural GRC Cladding

BCM GRC Ltd has been at the forefront of the use of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) in the UK, and nowhere more than in architectural applications.

The properties of GRC give it a unique ability to be moulded into thin, lightweight panels in a wide variety of shapes, forms and surface finishes whilst still retaining the appearance of a natural material. Whether it be a refurbishment project requiring a replacement cornice detail or a contemporary new build using modern building techniques, GRC can be considered by the designer and client as a long term solution.
Although of a similar density to traditional concrete the inclusion of alkali resistant fibres during manufacture allow components to have a typical wall thickness of 15-20mm, thus giving the potential to save weight on the structure, typically GRC components can be 20% of the weight of traditional concrete.

Typical applications of GRC are:

  • Traditional Cladding
  • Rainscreen Cladding
  • Fascia Panels
  • Soffit Panels
  • Column Encasements

GCLAD Rainscreen Cladding

To enhance our portfolio of products we have introduced a modular rainscreen cladding system called GClad.
In a range of sizes up to 1500mm x 900mm the system can be hung on any of the proprietary backing rail systems and is a very cost efficient method of cladding a building whilst giving a natural appearance.
